How the VMAP for Moms+ Line Works

The VMAP for Moms+ Line offers free mental health consultation and care navigation to Virginia prescribers who provide care to pregnant and postpartum individuals and/or their children. To access this care, call 1-(888)-371-8627 and press 1.

Mental Health Consultation

Free same-day consultation with expert perinatal psychiatrists and perinatal licensed mental health professionals. You can call either about a pregnant/postpartum patient or the parent of a pediatric patient. Consultation occurs within 30 minutes.

Care Navigation

Care navigators will work directly with the pregnant/postpartum individual and their family to help them connect with local mental health resources. Care navigators will also check in regularly to help the family navigate barriers to care, and will send you updates.

Our call center staff will ask:

  • Provider details and callback number

  • Perinatal indivduals details – Name, DOB, insurance, zip code

  • Reason for the call and background information

  • If patient is pregnant or postpartum
